Dallas McMillan Quiz Night by Stephen Wilkinson

Well, it was the Dallas McMillan quiz night last Thursday and YUVA Consultants were kindly invited to partake in the fun. We arrived to a warm reception and were immediately presented with a drink (the first of many). After some mingling and chatting with the other guests and lawyers we were seated for the quiz.

The first couple rounds of the quiz were fairly easy and our team breezed through, remaining relatively unscathed. However, after the second round the quiz descended into some form of tortuous intellectual inquisition. I just sat there politely and drank wine. The result was disastrous; our team finished last. I did, however, learn that a slug has 4 noses – so not a complete failure.

There was partial success for the YUVA cohort; Anthony and his team managed to finish in second place. However, he later told me that if it hadn’t have been for his incorrect answers, the team would have won. The first dog in space was Laika and not Lenka and the second most used letter in the English language is “t” not “s”. Future quiz participants take note. Oh well, it’s the taking part that counts apparently.

Once the quiz ended there was a bit more mingling and a bit more drinking to round off a very enjoyable evening.
YUVA Consultants would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone at Dallas McMillan for putting on such a great night.
